Kristin L. Kabat

Kristin Kabat is a PhD candidate at San Diego State University & UC Davis working in Dr. Rulon Clark’s lab. She previously worked as a herpetologist throughout the southwestern United States and Micronesia.

Kristin completed her Master of Science degree from Texas Tech University (2022) where she developed novel environmental DNA (eDNA) sampling techniques for the detection of cryptic terrestrial reptiles. She obtained her Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University (2018). She has worked on the USGS Guam Brown Treesnake Project and interned with the Arizona Game and Fish Department, the National Park Service and with the US Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC- CERL).
